Valle Seriana

Crossed by the River Serio, Valle Seriana extends for about 50 km from the lowland to the highest summits of the Orobie Alps, in an area of great panoramic and cultural importance.
Situated about 20 km away from Bergamo and within easy reach, Val Seriana offers many historical suburbs and places of great value, with the possibility of going in for several winter sports: from simple excursions to extreme climbing  and slopes on the most beautiful ski-runs in the valleys of Bergamo.
From the high grounds of Canto Alto and Mount Misma you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Alpine ring, of the valley-bottom and of the city.

Visit Valle Seriana
Surrounded by the wonderful Presolana Mountains you can admire Clusone, with its clock-tower and the famous fresco of the “macabre dance”; Ardesio, with its medieval suburb, San Pietro’s and Santuario delle Grazie of the XVI century; Rovetta, an important summer resort where once the wood was processed in the medieval manner, with the typical rustic houses with porticoes and the sumptuous Baroque church of 1600; Castione della Presolana, one of the major tourist resorts in the province of Bergamo, where you can admire the Baroque Sant’Alessamdro’s Parish Church and the Town hall of the XVII century in the Venetian manner. Then there are also the tourist resorts of Onore, Fino del Monte and Valbondione.

How to arrive:
From Bergamo: you have to cross Val Seriana and Passo della Presolana (Presolana Pass).
From Brescia: you have to go along Valle Camonica; at Darfo Boario Terme you have to take Via Mala, a narrow striking canyon-like split among the rocks.
