The
Orobie Alps, the ring of mountains that, almost 60km long, divide
Bergamo’s valleys to Valtellina, surely deserve the name “Alps”.
These mountains, indeed, are wild and lonely, their peaks are higher
than 3000 metres (Pizzo di Coca 3052m) and many lakes. Besides their
landscape, the main attraction is here their fauna. In the sky,
indeed, the royal eagle circles, while on the rocks you can meet up
with chamoises and ibexes.

Inside
the area there are many paths, among which the most famous are to be
pointed out, such as Priula Road, the military ways and the
naturalistic ones. You can start from Carona, in Upper Val Brembana,
and follow a wide ring, meeting with several lakes, some
natural and other artificial.
How
to get here:
from Bergamo along the highway towards the valleys.
