The buca del corno

The Buca del Corno

The Buca del Corno is situated on the slopes of the Mount Sega, near Entratico. It represents one of the main turistic attractions of the Val Cavallina. Inside the cave there is an itinerary of 385 mt through the limestones of the Jurassic. The cave is accessible from a large opening that,

along a 180 mt passage, leads to the Vortex Room, from which start two different tunnels: one is elevated and dry and accessible through  little stairs, while the other is covered by water. In the most secluded part of the cave it is possible to see the big absorbent shaft from which the cave took origin. Inside the cave it is possible to meet different species of plants and also the legendary salamander. Thanks to its easy access and itinerary the Buca del Corno offers to everyone the opportunity to live a real  speleologic visit. The cave is accessible every Sunday and holidays from May to September (2.30 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.). For groups or educational tours it is possible to visit the cave all year on reservation (tel. +39 035 942021). The entrance is free. Outside the cave there is a park provided with tables and benches at the visitor’s disposal.
