Bergamo.
Its oeno-gastronomy
Bergamo
isn’t just the land of art and history. Its
territory, well cultivated in its lowlands and
valleys, abounds in the production of cereals,
fruit, wine and vegetables. In
the Alpine refuges you find the most typical products
of the local dairy tradition: formaggella
di monte, Branzi
and Formai
de Mut,

|
oft served with the local sausages and
fresh polenta or toasted polenta croũtons.
Going
down the valley, in Val Calepio, you can visit some wine shops
renowned all over Italy for the production of valuable wines
DOC, such as the excellent Moscato
di Scanzo Passito, the cornerstone of Bergamo’s
oenology. Lake Iseo, then, in the territory of Sarnico and
Riva di Solto, thanks to its particular climate and fruitful
soils of morainal origins, offers an oil much appreciated for
its low acidity rate, richness in vitamins and high
concentration of aromatic substances.
