In the middle of the square there is the Fountain of the Fair, the last remains of the XVII century fair of St. Alexander, knocked down in 1923 to realize Marcello Piacentini’s re-arrangement plan. He planned some other close buildings, such as the Law Courts (1923) and the Palace of the Bank of Italy) (1914). Beside the fountain there is the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce by Luigi Angelini. |
